Asking the Right Questions

Sorry to break the news to you, but there really is such a thing as a stupid question.  Not because it’s naïve, unsophisticated, or ignorant.  But because the answer it will supply you isn’t the answer you’re actually looking for... 

In yesterday’s post I spoke about the people who came to the LA writers conference.  Because I’ve actually published 11 books, there were people asking me about what program I write with, my writing schedule, and even what keyboard I use.  It reminded me of when Stephen King was leading a writer’s workshop and someone asked him what kind of pencil he used.

It ain’t the fucking pencil, yo.

Which of course leads us to the most important question for you…
