Are You Ready?

Posted By: Randy GageMarch 28, 2018

In Monday's post,  I said success was about confidently taking decisions then acting on them.  Another aspect of that though is being ready to act...

By that, I mean you’ve done your homework, learned the fundamentals, and developed the skills you need to seize opportunities when they arise.

There’s an old adage when you’re teaching someone how to shoot a weapon.  It says:

In combat, you can’t miss fast enough to save your life.

You need to be able to hit the target the first time.  So that’s leads us to the important question…

When your next opportunity comes up – will you be ready for it?

  1. Hey,

This goes back to the last post. To be ready for your next opportunity, you have to want it. You have to know what you want. You may have to change your wants to be different from the majority.

    thanks,
    Bernice

  2. When I was a police officer, we had a similar situation as your combat statement above - we called it "spray and pray"; officers that would fire an excessive amount of rounds and hope that one would hit the perpetrator, And, as with prayer, the end result rarely came out as what was hoped for by the participant.
