Are You Mapping Your Prosperity?

Posted By: Randy GageJune 10, 2010

How big are the goals you have for yourself?  More importantly, have you thought about exactly what that will look like when you achieve them?

Let’s suppose you want to earn $2 million a year.  Do you know what that really looks like for you?  How much is the weekly paycheck?  What charities will you be supporting more? What kind of home are you living in?  What cars will you be driving?  In other words, how will this change your day-to-day life?

Or suppose your dream is to be a professional football player, book author, or concert pianist.  What does your average day look like?

The more that you can really see your abundance, the more likely you are to attract it.  My friend Richard Brooke frequently conducts workshops on vision.  He tells the story of how he got on the cover of SUCCESS magazine…

He was once at a carnival, and saw a booth where they took your photo and made souvenir mock ups of magazine covers.  So he put himself on the cover of SUCCESS.  He had it framed and kept it in his office by his desk, so he saw it every day.

About two years later, SUCCESS was doing a cover story on the growth of Network Marketing.  They wanted to put the president of Amway on the cover.  They were on a tight deadline, and he didn’t return their call.  So they called Richard, did a photo shoot, and put him on the cover.  To this day, he maintains that the reason that happened is because he had that souvenir mock-up in his office.

That’s the principle behind having a prosperity manifestation map. You fill it with images of things you want to do, have and become.  Then place it somewhere you will see it every morning when you wake up and at night before you go to sleep.  Remember last week we talked about how things like movies can program your subconscious mind?  A Prosperity Map programs your subconscious mind in a positive way.

The first time I did this, I was a little skeptical, but figured I had nothing to lose.  Two years later, I had manifested everything on it and had to do another.  Even today, if you saw the back door in my bedroom, you’d see my current prosperity map. If you don’t have one in your bedroom, order one today.  And start thinking about and collecting images of the things you want to place on there.

Do you use prosperity maps?  Have you got a success story with them?  Please share your experiences below to inspire others to take charge of their own programming.

Richard has another powerful suggestion to program your subconscious mind.   We’ll talk about that on tomorrow’s post.

  1. wow. this is so weird. i was just mapping things out in my mind a couple of hours ago while i swam my laps. and i just finished my new set of prosperity maps (there's 4 - fills up one entire wall in my room) a couple of days ago. the last one i did about 4 years ago - EVERYTHING on it came true. the moods, the places, the people, the way i wanted to feel about myself, and what i really wanted. everything. it's amazing RG. i was just pissed i didn't put more of what i want on that earlier one! xoxo J

  3. I just ordered your prosperity series recently and have been applying the principles to my life. I’m in the process of creating my dream board. But before I found you Randy (and I’m so glad I did!) I had a little shelf in my office at work with a little replica of my dream car and a tiny Eiffel Tower. I’m happy to say I’ve been driving my dream car for 1 month now and I’m planning my trip to Paris!!! It’s amazing!

Great article! This coincides exactly what Orrin Woodward has been teaching us about The ant & the ELEPHANT. One of my fav pastors is David Yonggi Cho in Seoul, S Korea. His book, the Power of the 4th. Dimension is amazing.

Media knows this philosophy all too well. Thus the reasons for subliminal ads, etc. Markets depend on it for increasing sales.

Why not map it? I remember sitting in an Open mtg. & I felt the urge to create an excel budget of what it would look like to make 100k/wk. in detail as you mentioned above. That is my next project. I have my plans, visions, goals, written where I see them daily. I confess them several times a day as my mantra. I don't confess lack or barrenness....I confess wealth, abundance & prosperity.

One of my fav bible stories is Jacob waiting to marry Rachel. He had been promised all the speckled & spotted calves from Laban. Not a biggy except there was no such thing! God specifically instructed him to create a fence around the watering hole for the cattle. He was to notch the poles he used so that when the sun hit the notches, as the cows drank water, the reflection made them look speckled and spotted. Well the rest is history.....a genetic miracle took place b/c he "saw" something that did not exist. From the supernatural came a natural phenomenon.

We under utilize this way too much. It takes less effort than complaining about what we don't have & is far more productive.

    I appreciate you!

  5. Having pictures is not enough ...you need emotions, feelings. I'm right ? How you combine these two ?

  6. I have a vision board but I think I am going to change it some with what I am figuring out from the "Passion Test" by Janet & Chris Attwood. http://www.thepassiontest.com

"The number one reason people don't get what they want is that they don't know what they want."

The book is helping me to get clear... "Clarity is critical to success...Clarity leads to power- the power to act-which is the basis of achievement, fulfillment, and happiness in life. Without a clear direction you are either paralyzed or running around in circles.. Worse, you can never reach your full potential because you dare not fully commit."

they say "most people do not want to step out of their busy world to take the necessary time to do the "inner homework."...Any great teacher will tell you that your results are not created on the gross surface "thinking" or "doing" level of life but from going deep within and tapping into the unbounded reservoir of creativity and intelligence within each of us."

The book has helped not to look at the "how" when I am figuring out my passions (not my goals) and not to hold back. Think BIG.

"When you are clear, what you want will show up in your life, and only to the extent that you are clear."

    They also recommend vision boards.

  7. "There is no passion to be found playing small - in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living."
    ~ Nelson Mandela

  8. I've done numerous prosperity maps over the years and interestingly enough, I've manifested very little that was on them. I did however, test drive a car that I absolutely loved, had pictures of myself taken in it and even had a friend lend me the car for the weekend. That was a very real experience, one I lived over in my mind again and again. That car, (same model, different car), manifested itself in my life in a very short space of time and in a way that I couldn't have imagined. I've been happily driving it for 8 years now and I still love and appreciate it every day. I have a new car in mind now.

  9. I respect and I learned a lot from you Randy, but let me share this.

During many years I used the emotions to bring power to my visions. Recently, I read 3 books from the Russian Vadim Zeland (Reality Transurfing) and a lot of things made sense and some didn't.

Although the emotions have a strong print out from the vision, we get too attached to the outcome and, according to Vadin's theory, this gives less chance to the dream to manifest. This is like to be not really believing that you own it by right, only desiring to own it in the future. Taking the emotion out is like driving home; you do not think about the movements you make, you just go home because you know you have a house to go to. I decided to try it, even being in an appositive direction from what I was tough. Well, I tell you this...

Things are happening much faster and in amazing way.

  10. I can say in my case it definitely has been the opposite. I do understand not being attached to outcomes, as long as you have the expectation, "this or something better." But I think there's not much you can't accomplish with passion, intensity and urgency.

    -RG

  11. I've heard
about the Vision board, law of attraction, but i've never been able to use it properly, think i will start over again
@Carmen,i love that one about the car, think i'll try that!

  12. I have collaged my past and my future, made lists of goals, dreams and visions for the future. Lived in a house where you could not find the refrigerator for all the pictures and posters that covered it.

    It works.

Around 10 years ago my employer said he would support me living anywhere I wanted to live. If you could live anywhere in the world you wanted to live, where would it be? For most people I suspect it is someplace they already know. I made a list of the attributes of my imaginary home. Having shoveled snow over half of each year living in Minnesota my favorite time of year was the first two weeks of June.

A Minnesota June finds the leaves fully popped, the grass a brilliant green, flowers everywhere, cool nights and mornings allow the windows to be open and stay open during the day and night. Sporadic thunder boomers charge the air briefly almost daily. No AC or heating needed and the bugs have not arrived in their passion to live in 3 months what they do in 12 anywhere else. Living in a box of four seasons I wanted to live in a place that had the same two weeks of weather of a Minnesota June, year round.

It’s called the Land of Eternal Spring and it is a valley in the Andes Mountains in Colombia. I had never heard of it, never been there or knew anyone who had. My Spanish was less than zero and I ‘KNEW’ the path would appear to arrive there. It’s like déjà vu all over again…

I did not create a collage and I did write it down and shared the dream with a number of people putting it into existence. Over the next two years the stars aligned, ‘accidents’ and ‘coincidences’ worked their magic and I paid attention. When opportunities arose I followed the bread crumbs from the future I had called in to existence. It is almost like operating like a tuning fork to a frequency being called. Where angels go on vacation I came to visit December 2003. I found a dream come true.

    Vision boards work.

  13. Hey Randy Gage.

I believe in the law of attraction. I wrote on a paper the some of money which i invited for myself to be paid , which will be good enough
fo buing beautiful villa and live un there.I put this note in a box , and put the box near to my eyes in my kiving room.
I emagene many times the villa which i want to get and live in.

  14. I think its very useful thing. To make statements to yourself what you want in this life. Sometimes we do not know what we want, what exactly we want, how much we want, or do we really want.
I have that kind of map since i guess one year. And i can admit that part of the things are shown on my map became true. I think that the map by itself doesnt work. Before you realize that you REALLY want all that things, that its not just something just to have it and that it will work by itself. I believe in the power of desire. If you really want something, the end of the day you will get it... And the map helps you as a constant reminder, hey look, what you want, dont you forget abt you dreams, don’t you avoid/procrastinate to take the actions to make your dreams true... be honest with yourself.... and Randy, you are absolutely right abt emotions... there are no dreams without emotions, and there is no movement without emotions....

Unfortunately, people around me were only laughing abt my map / that i have one... thats a reason i keep it for myself only.. however there is no way to force somebody to believe in anything or start to work on his own life before he wants it by himself.
I put on my map one of the main things is my health, healthy attractive body, feeling fine in my own body… I look at this and very often think without actions there is no way to get it (the same abt other dreams, but abt this nothing can be more obvious).. healthy food, sports, no alcohol, drugs, cigarettes, enough rest… especially if you got used to live unhealthy life. You would need a lot of power and courage… But I know also for sure that self-programming means a lot in health issue… I affirm im healthy = I feel myself healthy… even if everybody of us has his own “weak” health points…

    Thanks for the patience..
Its interesting to follow you… You bring a lot of energy and inspiration.

  15. Thought provoking as always Randy. I was pretty skeptical about vision boards early on but I did them anyways since it couldn't hurt and it's always turned out pretty well.

I said I wanted to host huge public seminars and we host huge public seminars.

I said I wanted to be a full time professional speaker I'm a full time professional speaker.

I said I wanted a beautiful wife and I have a BEAUTIFUL wife.

    I said I wanted to drive a Bentley convertible and I drive...well a Sebring convertible - but hey I'm getting there. 🙂

Thought you would appreciate this though. I now believe so much in vision boards that we custom built one in our new house that takes up pretty much the whole wall.

    http://twitpic.com/1wcoxp

Calendar in the middle helps me chart out my progress. Images on the top are the actual vision board. The things on the right represent the things I want and will have in my life.

All the things on the left are the principles I believe in that will take me there.

Anyways, thanks for helping us all get there brother.

    See you in the stairwell,
    Rory

  16. We do have to forget about ourselfes aswell-In the total forgotteness we are going to get the things.Like when you have thought of someone intensly for two weeks, and the day you just forgot about him he appeared! That is one secret we shouldn´t forget about...
