When Did You Last Make Some Noise?
by Randy Gage
Last post we talked about how important silence can be for your self development. But what about noise?
It can be cool sometimes, if you’re the one making it. When is the last time you really laughed out loud? When is the last time you shrieked with delight? Shouted with joy?
We’re trained to always keep our composure. Act adult, proper, and refined. But now and then, it’s good to bust loose and act like a kid again. Why not try it today?

I was there the night they were supposed to win the series, freezing my ass off in the rain and then it got postponed. I watched the end on TV!

I recently got told off for laughing too loudly whilst having lunch in a pub with a friend because the penioners in the next booth didn't like it! So very funny!!!
I definitely need to exercise my throat chakra more. As a solopreneur there are often hours on end when I don't speak at all, don't think this is good for me. Maybe I should start singing more too? Good topic.
I am told I'm the most noisy stretcher in the universe and have a laugh that wakes the neighbours. It feels sooooo good to make some noise. :)
Hello Randy,
Great advice! As it is almost bedtime here, in Quebec, I commit to do the exercise tomorrow - more precisely during my monthly social meeting with collegues and friends.
In success,
Chantal
Randy,
Your so right. I was raised in a household that was VERY controlled. Children were "seen and not heard". You didn't have an opinion or show emotion out loud. We were ever so careful about what others thought of us. It was killing me literally! I had stomach problems and developed a serious heart cond. which was supposed to have killed me 6 yrs. ago! My husband, some time back, mentioned the fact that I never laughed anymore. I have concentrated on cleansing all that stuffed emotion, dealing immediately with things as they come along and the result is amazing! I will spontaneously laugh out loud, to the point of tears, at silly things. What a great feeling! I shout and "whoo hooo! wildly at meetings/conferences (when appropriate :) ) without worrying about others. The result? I'm losing weight and my health is excellent. I'm really enjoying my life for the first time. Thanks for the reminder.

You must be stalker! LOL
I think I attract your message of the day. It was a Bulls Eye!!!!
Today, was really an intense day. And yes, laughter is the music of the soul.
ThX for the reminder
Randy!!
Can you see us now?? We are being rowdy and it's working!!!!
LOUD AND PROUD!
Thanks for all your wonderful guidance:)
So whatever happened to Primal Scream therapy? I guess it's out of vogue but it was a healthy way to blow off some steam.
Last September my brother and I were at Citizen's Bank Park with 43,498 of our closest friends when the Phillies won their
second straight N.L. East title and we were all screaming only to
be outdone by the cheers when the Phils won the World Series.
Our magic number is 1 (one) so stay tuned. If you hear me yelling tonight you'll know that Philadelphia has won their third straight N.L. East Penant!
last time I shouted with joy was last Saturday, after about 110km of cycling and I had arrived above the hill and saw the English Channel ! there were only another 10k to the finish line !
I did pay attention though that there was nobody around ! so you see the "act proper and refined" is also a european up-bringing thing...
but ask Bernadette how often she laughs out loud?
she does it for both of us!...
LOL!!! There isn't a day that we don't get a little nutty around our house. It is really easy to do when you have a 2 yrs old. Anything that we do is hilarious to her, but my 13 yr old probably wouldn't agree. ;-)
If there is ever a day that my wife and I don't find something to laugh about uproariously it will probably be the end of the world!
Even then we would laugh because we wouldn't be missing anything! We'd all be going together.
Laughter is DEFINITELY the BEST medicine and VERY HEALTHY.
In case you guys haven't noticed, it's hard to keep me quiet!
If you need a reason to laugh:
Did ya hear the one about the sleepwalking priest?
- He was a "Roamin'" Catholic.....
BOOM!!
