cause of cold and dark rainy night

there was a wish that night like last year:
“This year is another one but not like the others
the world will become better
the man health will improve
and the PEASE is the GOAL”

‘Twas the night before Christmas and all through the U.S.;
The economy was tanking, and things were a mess.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care;
Hoping for coal, because the fuel tanks were bare.

The government health care plan wasn’t looking like a winner;
Resembling nine wolves and a sheep, voting on what’s for dinner.
The media had all the meaty issues it could handle;
Keeping their focus on the Tiger sex scandal.

When out on the lawn, arose such a racket;
The white House became a hut of the uncle of Volume;
But burn newspapers and throw out the TV;
Trust in Santa Klausa and it will necessarily come!
