There is a river whose streams make glad… That excerpt from Psalm 46 has a fascinating lesson for prosperity, happiness, and success.
When we’re living in accordance with universal laws, we can be like the river and those streams. You channel the energy of the universe, as it flows in and through you. But remember that still water stagnates…
Practice the circulation law of prosperity.
Keep the stream flowing from within you, giving outward. And you know what? The water never runs out!

I wanted to share this comment:I think everyone should read Ayn Rand.I don't totally agree with her, but her basic philosophy is very human: http://www.aynrand.org/site/PageServer?pagename=objectivism_introPeople see it as cold and uncaring, but she wrote in a different time, and she escaped Communist Russia as a young woman. Keep this in mind as you read her work.I agree that people should help one another, but it should be a choice, and not by force. None of us can do it alone, so we need other people.What is even more cold and uncaring is to teach people that wealth is evil, not to question the will and motives of others, accept mediocrity, co-dependence, and that because they exist, businesses and the government are obligated to provide for them.Yes, there are cold, uncaring, rich people, but there are plenty of cold-uncaring middle and working class people who expect that someone is supposed to take care of them and their children instead of being actively involved in their own lives. Business owners and managers decided that it was in their best interest for their employees to have higher wages and benefits and they built the middle class, not Unions. So, the "evil" rich people are responsible for the middle class. You should be thanking them instead of crying about "they make too much money".I grew up with that propaganda, and it's wrong and diminishes individual worth and ability.I celebrate wealth and success as long as the person or organization is providing some sort of value. Profit isn't the enemy. Profit which harms people is.
Thanks Randy.I am not quite sure how Rand's ideas can be expressed in a way that is a bit less blunt. There most certainly are people who are unable to care for themselves or help their children. Sometimes people become sick or injured, or something happens beyond their control.They do not upset me. In fact, those are the people who need love, understanding, and compassion the most. This is perhaps one of the reasons that Rand and people who share similar views are considered cold, and uncaring.She teaches that forcing someone to sacrifice themselves for others is wrong, and this is the reason she dislikes altruism by force. I don't think she ever meant being cold and cruel to other people. That would go against her philosophy. No one will stop someone from helping others. Encouraging and helping others succeed is good for the soul. You can learn a lot about yourself in the process, but doing it too much hurts you and can encourage co-dependence. There was a time when people were willing to take risks for the chance of a brighter future, when people were willing to learn to enrich themselves.

It never ceases to amaze me how things are connected. I literally just made the decision to donate some money to Dan Rockwell (leadership freak who was seriously injured in an auto accident), and then I see your post. I've never really been in the financial position to donate money before, so it was an interesting feeling/process making the decision to donate. I love the synchronicity of having your post on the Law of Circulation show up the second I finished donating! :) Because I live by the Universal Laws (as best I can!), I'm not only prosperous, but I now get to share it with others!

Many great cities have rivers flowing through them, sustaining peoples lives by making agriculture possible and facilitating trade with other cities. Jeruselum had no river but it had God who, like a river, sustained the peoples lives.As long as God lived among the people, the city was invincible. But when the people abandoned him,God no longer protected them and Jerusalum fell to the Babylonian Army. See any similarities today?
