Most people focus on the "lack" rather than what they already have. It can be the "mum" of all sufferings.

If you’re walking south and you want to change your direction, it’s a simple as turning around and heading north. Not always easy, but it is simple.
And it’s that way in life too…
If you’re tired, sad, or frustrated, you can change that situation by changing your thoughts. Because a shift in your thinking, creates a shift in the world around you. Really.
Find what you do well. Celebrate what you’ve already accomplished. And be grateful for what you have right now. And you’ll fast be on the way to more and greater fulfillment.

You have to change in order to change; This post has so much too it and is still very short and simple. It looks light but is a heavyweight :) Thanks Randy!
This is so true, and its coming at such a poignant time. I`m just sitting in a cafe hoping god would send me a message of hope or something because I`m feeling frustrated at the moment. And here it is. Thank you Randy. But I`m still feeling low.
In februrary I was out of work, living off credit cards and living with my brother and had no income. I started repeating an affirmation daily. I havnt missed a day since I started. I`m now in full time employment, I have an income and I moved out of my brothers place. So its definitely working. But today I`m feeling down.
I feel like I am slowly moving forward, but not necessarily in the direction I want to be going. Or maybe this path will somehow take me where I want to go but I`m not sure how?
@ashome as long as you're moving forward, you'll get where you want to be! - RG
Well said and so true. I notice my thoughts correlate with how I am feeling. When i am tired my thoughts are definitely lower on the scale so to speak.

True Randy! It's simple! But not easy. Not to confirm that it's not easy!!!!! But what is there to handle to turn around, have got to be faced and removed. The change of thinking has made the world of difference for me, and I'm completely passionate about that topic. I'm doing a course for the local authoritis where that topic is part of it, and I think it's VERY POSITIVE that they reach out for this, that is what got them interested. One thing I can tell you, is that I'm getting there, working with the things I LOVE to do.
Thank's for your always encouraging words and advice, that means the world of difference to me.
XOXO
Not always easy to deal with emotions. When i'm frustrated, angry, sad,... i try to think on something that makes me laugh or makes me happy. It don't work always, but most of the time it does.
I am experiencing your set-backs, you know, the mental ones....
And I experience more and more to become the thinker of my thoughts. Still the old ones jump in the first row, being loud to be heard, and it is weird to view them as disturbers and send them out of the scene - this is very challenging and I know it´s a long way to succeed here fully but yes, it is possible and one has to start.
I did start.
And I realize(d) what you´ve accomplished in life.
A big WOW!
....and I want that too!!!!!!!! :))
