How You Manifest Prosperity, Part One
By Randy Gage
So KimbraLee started a great question on the last post, namely what is the difference between knowing you are worthy, versus having a sense of entitlement. I believe the first is very healthy, and the second keeps you in victim-hood.
As she points out, many people don’t believe they deserve good things, having been told that most of their lives. So they settle. That’s why so many people live lives of quiet (or not so quiet) desperation.
You can’t be treated for prosperity; you must be open to receiving it. And once you develop prosperity consciousness, you expect good things to happen. You expect abundance.
The distinction comes when people think they are entitled to things because others have more than them or they “need it.” The fact that you need more money (or anything else) doesn’t qualify you to receive it. The world is filled with those less fortunate who could make very compelling cases for why they need things.
They could argue that Bill Gates doesn’t need billions of dollars, and they need $100 to pay the electric bill to keep the heat on. But that is entitlement. And it overlooks the basis for attracting prosperity: exchanging value.
Billionaires like Gates have attracted so much money because of the tremendous value they have provided for the world. Think of how many schools, hospitals and governments run on the windows operating system, not to mention the millions of individuals. (Now if you think that Gates and Microsoft don’t deserve the wealth they create and exploited people to get it, you should really read my book, “Why You are DUMB, SICK & BROKE, and How to Get SMART, HEALTHY & RICH!” I lay out the situation in depth there.)
Entitlement mentality says, let’s redistribute the wealth. But that doesn’t change the core problem. If you took all the money from the ten percent of the wealthiest people in the world and gave it to the ten percent of the poorest people, the wealth would be right back where it started from in less than a year. Why?
Because the wealthy people became wealthy by creating value and to do so had to develop a certain mindset. (This is why you’ve probably heard Jim Rohn say something to the effect that if you get a million dollars, you better work on becoming a millionaire quickly.)
Prosperity comes when your consciousness develops from “I need this” or “I deserve this” to “I will attract this because I’ll create the value for it.”
So just how do you do that? Check in with your thoughts below, and I’ll pick up there on the next post.
