Where can we meet you?

Hey Randy…I have some genius in the sales arena, writing, copywriting and speaking; and I do utilize all of these gifts to one extent or another.

Have fun in Europe…I have a friend who is also traveling eastern Europe, but I think he is in Russia now. He is playing with the band “The Orchestra” …used to be called Electric Light Orchestra.

Randy, all of your examples have a common attribute about their particular genius. Action. Everyone of them came out of the closet, put their genius on display instead of hiding it under the bed or locking it in the garage. Each of us has genius to share and there is something holding us back. “Bucky” Fuller talked of trimtabs that allow magnificent action to occur exerting very little effort. I suspect where we are exerting the monumental efforts to hide our genius there exists a simple ‘trimtab’ to release it and us from the bottle. We each are the genie with unlimited wishes to come true. I am off looking for a couple more trimtabs.

I am on a path of self discovery. I changed majors in college and later decided to change careers. Maybe genius can change or evolve with our life experiences. The choices I have made led me to where I am today and the choices I make today will lead me to tomorrow. I am creating my life by becoming aware of my genius, seeing the opportunities and taking action.

We can embrace, celebrate, and nurture genius by valuing our self first and then sharing it with others.

Randy, agree u mentioned ppl who realized their genious and expressed it! but for some reason – the number of ppl unleashing their genious is less, why? how can i realize my genius? is it all about feeling it only?

My genious is that I can see half a second into the future. I can see how one thing can lead to one particular outcome which in turn will lead to another particular outcome and so on. In other words I’m a FUTUREIST. I often see things in terms of TIME versus emotion and materialism. This has developed naturally over the last 2 decades. Ironically (but not really), just last night I had a conversation about how I hide my genious because I alienate many people when I express it.

On TV one genious (with slight autism) described that he sees numbers as colors and is able to do complex arithmatic because of the way that he sees the math problem. I feel the same about many of societies’ problems but my experience has shown me that when I show my genious it pushes people away instead of attracting them. Does genious always lead to isolationism?

I wouldn’t call it genius myself but yeah I’m very knowledgeable and applicable in a number of areas. You know what, screw it! I AM a genius in those areas ;-)

Anyways, I think it’s very important we recognize those areas and put as much focus as possible in those areas, while also learning and what I like to call “assaulting your mind with awesomeness”, basically highly valuable information that can be of use.

A big thing that many do wrong is they recognize these areas and learn but they do very little. Action is always the key to any success as I’m sure you can agree with Randy.

I think my genius took a vacation about a decade ago. Used to have it…but can’t seem to get it back.

Great topic! Great book on the topic: “The Creating Brain” by Nancy C. Andreason. Scientific, yet very readable, about the processes of creativity and creative genius.

Letting your genius out is one area where extroverts have a clear advantage. If you can actually ask for what you need, your wish can be fulfilled…and if you can let people know what you’re good at, someone will be able to put your skill to good use.

Me: I got paid to paint again today!! and finished the mural that I started yesterday…and was told that I vastly exceeded expectations. I had to chuckle, cuz man, they have NO IDEA what I’m TRULY capable of…but I’m sure willing to show them.

You have a talent…and you’d be amazed at what qualifies as “genius”. For example, I am in awe of my accountant–that number stuff is totally alien to me, and he just whips it out and makes magic happen. And he clearly enjoys it.

I got PAID TO PAINT! It’s better than sex (can you post that? Sorry if it’s non PC). It’s a high of the highest high. Don’t sit on your talent/genius/passion!

I’m a natural in the sports industry. I love being in the sales and motivation arena. I love to write and dance, and do both with wild abandon, although not usually at the same time. lol..

I love pushing people so they can experience their own ‘edge’.

Only now am I stepping back and looking at these passions of mine and saying, ‘hmmm, somewhere in all of this is my assignment.’

Bikram Yoga is what gets me into my pure genius mode. Even though it demands 100% of my attention and focus, it sets my mind free.

Michele — Thanks for posting the book recommendation; I’ll check it out. Another good book for creative people is “The Artists Way.” It has an end-of-chapter workbook and practical assignments that help unleash your genius. I read it and used it many years ago, and just recently (as in a couple of days ago) started to re-read it and re-do the exercises.

Thank you for the great post!! Such an inspiring theme, I love that so much!

After a couple years of self-discovering I found out the most genius of my talents. The point is I was successful in a lot of things: drawing, projecting, programming, economics, photography, video editing, self-developing, spiritual discovering, philosophy, chiromancy, writing, strategy, economics, tutorshiping, oratoring, psychology and some others. But I couldn’t really to find out what is from all of this spheres is my best-one, because in different periods of my life I tried each one of those things deeply and nobody other of my friends, classmates, partners couldn’t do any of this things so good as I can. But I couldn’t find out which is of my talents is the best! As a result I was breaking off all of my undertakings in some stage. It was paintings, programs, novels, films and so on. And it was a great dilemma – every project what I started after a while I was braking off. I was drawing a great painting on canvas, firstly in my life, but I couldn’t finish it. I was learning chiromancy for a month, and then I drop it out. I was writing a huge program for three month, but than – I break it off. I made up entire world, with all of it’s geographic, animals, races, dozens of characters with all of traits, history and even thought out the events for ten books in advance! When I wrote 120 pages I returned to the first paragraph and break off… And only than I found out my most genius talent! It was — creating ideas. I could create ideas for anything I do, and they will be perfect, but I really couldn’t implement them by oneself, because some of my ideas is so big…

Now I have a team working on my ideas, so I happy to have them and greatly thankful for this. I believe my team will grow rapidly year by year, and we could realize more and more bigger ideas!

So, develop your own genius!!!

Thank you again Randy for telling us about your trip! :-) It’s really interesting for me what you discovering and what you do, because you are so important for me! Few month ago I couldn’t even imagine, that someone who speaks another language, the millionaire, will enter so deeply in my life, but now it is. You are bringing into my life so many of beautiful things, I thank you so much!! So, I truly interested of your achievements and happy about you travelling the world now! But I really hope I could bring something important into your life through some time, because maybe deeply inside I have that Law of giving tithe. I feel how I’m receiving so lot, but now I can’t to give something in counterbalance back to you. It can’t be money, because I haven’t it for a while, but I hope even when I will have a lot of money, that will be not only one thing, which I will bring to you… I don’t know why I want this so much, but I really want to talk with you once. I hope you understand me.

My genius would definitely be Writing because it brings calmness to my mind and a sense of peace. It is the best way I know how to express my feelings, be in writing in my journal, Gratitude book or writing poetry. Although, in order to write poetry for me, I need to be inspired and somehow it comes naturally, it flows freely, usually this happens after I take a walk on the beach. Sometimes, this willingness to express myself through writing comes when I fall in love or I connect with someone on a deeper level. It is a beautiful thing and I am grateful to have this gift in my life, especially to be able to recognize it, is magnificent. :)

Randy after following you for years I wanted to thank you for expressing your genius and holding the space for others to step into their own.

I’ve been thinking about this alot lately because many of the top producers in our business say you should master one skill and do it really well.

I have quite a few areas where I’m very powerful and am wondering how do you decide which one to focus on or do you focus on them all…
