Are You Giving?
by Randy Gage
If you’re like most people, you spend most of your time thinking about what you need and want. But you don’t want to be like most people.
So why not think today about what you can give?
The other day I gave a homeless lady $40 and felt amazing. I sent some more money to the make A Wish Foundation, which always blesses me. I gave some free advice to a beginning speaker, some of my designer shoes to a friend, and paid the groceries for an elderly lady in front of me at the health food store.
Sure I have stuff I need and want. But who cares about stuff like that when you can be giving to someone else. Even if it is just a hug! Think about it.

well since you are in the giving mood can I have one of your $9,000.00 shirts? ;) actually you are right giving seems to feel so much better sometimes. great post!
It is God’s REQUIREMENT of the children of Israel (Gen.49:28) to tithe a tenth part (Nu.18:26, Neh.10:38, Matt.23:23, Lk.11:42, Lk.18:12).
The church (1 Cor.10:32, the living body of Christ Jesus - Col.1:24), whom Jesus has made “free” (Jn.8:36), are not under a REQUIREMENT, but are the “cheerful giver” as the giver has purposed in his own heart (2 Cor.9:7-8).

I give a lot and regularly and if possible, I give anonimously by sending packages to the homes of abused mothers and children, to the local church, friends in need and I also give to strangers in the street but I was stunned last week when I was strolling through the capital city, finding out, I shoud have taken a big sack of change with me, for there were beggars on every corner, stairs and bridge. I'm not used to it... How do you guys who have been there make your way through the streets in India? Do you give? Do you look away? What we really should do? Any good solutions?
Bye, love U all!

Give some of your time to help other to achieve success. No matter how big or small the amount you give, the most important is to give sincerely.
I've been reading a lot on giving lately; I really enjoy it when I feel like I'm DOING something.
Some of you have seen my video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L2QqvcdKQdM
There's a woman who practically lives on my corner, who I've been giving to forever, and I no longer enjoy it.
Any advice on that?
The more you give to the universe the more you receive,
This law has stood the test of time and space,
Thanks Randy for giving your wisdom.
Peace
So True, it´s an habit, when you give you recieved so much back, i´ts a way of being conected with the universe!!!
Great insights Randy. The more we give (without expecting anything in return) the more we receive.
When we give it is about letting go of expectation of how the gift should be used.
This is so true. This could explain why most financial advisors advise their clients to give a little off the top if they are struggling financially. I believe it to be a universal law that you reap what you sow. In the bible it also says to give with a joyful heart, so make sure your giving is making you feel good, not just doing it because your told to.
-RG,
I use to think "yeah a guy like Randy Gage can give and feel good he has a lot of money to give so, no big deal for him".
I don't have a lot of money (yet) what I do have is time, talent knowledge friendship.... The point being is that we all have much to give so GIVE.

You always seem to be spot on, with your message. Went to church on Sunday and the Knight of Columbus were doing a pancake breakfast as a fundraiser. My daughter growing up with a chef for a dad, wanted to go out.
She was missing the message. I told her we were having the pancake breakfast and donating to the local cause.
The pancake were cold but I felt warm inside.
ps On your next go around in your moment of giving, please think of my for some one on one coaching.
Thx for what you do
Hi Randy
Thanks for a great post. I paid the groceries for an elderly Man in front of me last week.
Why not, the poor man had troubble paying for it and the line was long. I told him not to think about it and that he will do the same for someone else some day.
This is so true!!! I currently joined a non-profit. Actually she is just starting this non-profit and is raising the funds to get the paperwork done to become official. It is called BirthdayBags4Kids.org.
I found her on Facebook and just feel in love with her idea to give birthday gifts to underprivileged children, who family is struggling due to job loss or other financial reasons.
I am now on the Board of Directors and on the Donations Committee. I know her vision will come true and I am so glad that I can give my time to help make it happen.
I gave a homeless man a sandwich, bag of chips and liter of soda and he asked for $20! LOL I thought I should recruit this guy, he knows he has knowing to lose by asking.
I love to buy something for the guy in front of me, too. It takes people off guard. I gave some chocolate covered strawberries to a boy of 10 who smiled and said to his mom "See there still are nice people in the world mom." I told him to pass it on:)
My favorite gift is a smile to the clerk behind the counter whose having a bad day, and compliment them on their patience with the public.
Giving money is great, since as you've always said, you cannot out give the Universe..
But there's giving of your time as a volunteer for community organizations that make a difference, also. For the past 3 weekends, I have donated my time and money as a volunteer at fund raising events that benefit Hospice. This is also very gratifying knowing that I've made a difference.
So yes, I give in all ways since I'm well aware that the more we give, the more we receive. And receiving doesn't necessarily mean money, but can come in other forms called "love".
I love doing the grocery store thing.
One funny thing I've found is I'm often behind someone who needs a few extra pounds... and they have to put stuff back...
I feel so grateful because it's not a lot of money, and I can easily pay.
I often wonder how the angels/univerence/vibratins/whatever align them up so I happen to be around and happen to have the right change they need!
It works the other way too - some guy passing by paid for my food... My daughter found it so funny: "that guy LOVES you, he just paid for your food!!!"
My "challenge" if you will is giving TOO much... xox
I am going to try the grocery thing! Good advice, I just gave to Children's Hunger Fund, the local Rescue Mission, and obviously to Church.
Take care!
This is awesome! Giving is crucial to your success. First and foremost one should give tithes. The tithe is not ours, but it is God*s. The Book of Malachi chapter 3 states that if we do not, then we have robbed God and we are cursed a curse. So, I would rather much give my tithe and be blessed than to not tithe and be cursed. Another biblical reason to give is because in the same measure you give, it will be given back to you with the maximum return in which you gave it (Luke 6:38).
