Are You Finding the Joy?

By Randy Gage

We all love times of joy.  And we all want more joy in our lives.  But how much joy is already there?  Joy that you might be failing to appreciate?

Have you really looked into the eyes of your spouse or partner lately, to see that special sparkle that attracted you to them when you first met?  Have you savored the taste of just one bite of food?  When was the last time you really gazed at the moon or the stars?

Do you notice the joy in the kids playing alongside the car, bus or train, as you make you way to work?  Look at the exquisite joy in a dog’s face, as he rides along with his head stuck out the car window.

Why not celebrate all the joy you have been taking for granted today?  Relish the joy of finishing a project.  Delight in the challenge that causes you growth.  And savor in the fact that you live in the most exciting time in human history, and you have the power to create your destiny!

-RG,

All those joys and more exist in good or bad economic times.

Randy thanks for sharing these thoughts… Good things are everywhere!!! Sadly, humans just get better and better a finding the few little bad things that happen and then expand them so large we can’t see past them, and miss the good ones!

Have a nice day everybody!

I am looking for a balance between being joyous and wanting more…. I guess I see them as mutually exclusive right now, and maybe that belief needs some examination…

I had a pretty powerful weekend, and I realized a certain talent of mine, and it made me choke up for a second; I had felt joy, and had passed that along to a great deal of people- more than ever before- and I think I’d like to stay in that role… I’m gonna go work on that right now!

Life is a Journey not a destination!

How often do we (I) need to be reminded. Perfect timing after a weekend of refocusing and regenerating.

thanks

Love this post! My wife and I look at the stars and the moon when we go to bed every night it is clear! I watch swans fly and experience joy at their amazing beauty. When my 21 month old son does anything, I experience tons of joy, like yesterday on the boat watching him sit next to me enjoying the waves or when he points at anything and knows and says what it is! Looking at my wife today during lunch, I was full of joy. Seeing blue sky, riding my motorcycle, going on a bike ride with my family, relaxing in the sun, driving the H2 in the snow! There seems to be joy in everything! SEE and EXPERIENCE the joy!

The reality is we all need to stop and smell the flowers. If you work really hard but never stop to appreciate those that support you then you will eventually have no support and your hard work and efforts will fade away because you overlooked the reason you worked hard for in the first place.

Great Post! It’s amazing how many rules and conditions people put on themselves before they can experience joy!

You can experience joy now in this very moment. One of the biggest keys to attracting more prosperity.

The joy of appreciation is just recognizing it and it happens. Thank you Randy and everyone who left a comment. One to return on a regular basis.
