A Burning Bowl Ceremony for the New Year

Spent a couple days in contemplation about this ceremony, as it will be my first time. Have also decided to do it on each equinox during the year. That way I don't have to write a novel of things to release, and can break it down into bite size do-able pieces............ the ceremony is tonight!

Good morning! I did the burning bowl ceremony last night and today I woke up early to saw beautiful sunrise on a beach. When I saw how the sun literally emerges from the sea I felt that I was born again. My mantra was, and sounds. I accept the unlimited power and I am grateful for it. Thank you.

Got to tell you: you became my ****role-model****.

Okay, back to earth:

I did the burning bowl ceremony past midnite on my balcony and I am grateful I did.

Fact was: I played with open fire.

And no wonder, since my life shows very dynamic responses from the universe - 20 minutes later or so a firework exploded right in front of me/my face (!!!) - which never happened before - so I jumped backwards, almost screaming, balancing my processo glass in my right hand, grasping for fresh air and wondering: what was that about??

Crazy!!

- as ususal.... and I knew right away: THIS life goes on******

A couple of things(garbage?) came up as I listened to you talk about the ceremony, Randy.

First, if you were sitting next to me on a plane or somewhere and we struck up a conversation - as I know we would - you would ask me what I do and I would most likely do a soft-shoe about my sixty-one years of brilliant underachieving. You would then go home or to your hotel room, tap into that as an anecdotal lesson in a video of how NOT to think for sixty years.

Then (on second thought) I thought, if I ran into you, I would probably avoid any deep sharing in order to avoid any pain associated with being your autopsy in a prosperity message.

When I got heavily involved in network marketing in the mid-90s, I bought every motivational and MLM material I could scavenge and fully immersed myself. Most of the tapes and books were hypish and other-worldy, and focused on the procedure of being an MLM pro or an angel in white. You and Mark Yarnell were two MLM voices that spoke to my inner self in conjunction with MLM, and thus spoke to me.

I faded away from MLM (although I still receive a small residual of $200~$300 per month), but in recent years I rediscovered you online and have always felt I found a long-lost friend.,

Thank you for being consistently honest and credible for all these years. You are an asset to humanity from my perspective, but I'm sure you won't let that get to your head because you are a very well grounded soul.

this is great randy... we do something very similar in our shamanic practice... the sacred fire is very healing... when we let go of that which no longer serves us and take to the fire.. after it has transformed... we then fill back up with mindfully pulling some of that transformed "light" back to us... very powerful...

Googled Science of Mind & Unity Churches and it sounds interesting and right in line with a lot of what you teach! How long have you been going there???

Happy New Year Randy. I have been doing the burning bowl every year for the past 5 years. We do it at Unity of Delray Beach, this Wednesday January 4th at 7pm. The following week we do a "White Stone" service and we write what we want to accomplish. The bowl creates a void and the stone fills it.

Dear Randy,

today I was walking along the ocean, after that around the Ocean Rd... I was thinking about life, about people there, about this beautiful city. They looked so happy. I was thinking about you, how you inspire me to live life which I love to. I was thinking about how I can live in such paradise.... Be everything I love to. Yesterday I had very bad day which helped me realized that now I am ready to let go fear about the future, sadness, unhappiness and low self-esteem with thoughts about that I'm useless. Although I am ashamed for that I am in this situation saying it loud, I decided to face it all and release.

I will go on a beach and I will do it. It is the the greatest day in a year 2011. I let myself be free and loved.

I have done this bowl of ceremony in the past, can't think why it's nearly been a year since I did it last as it had such a profound effect on my life, a real sense of letting the bad stuff go.

Soon afterwards, right under my nose, good things started to happen.

...it´s the second time now, that I "step over the burning bowl" ceremony and I guess I should do that tonite! I had a quite good year but there are some little things which bother me a bit so it won´t burn a huge flame! :)

Just this morning I was emailing back and forth with the Rev from my (Unity) church and she mentioned she'd come across that video of yours in preparation for our Sunday service. She also mentioned that she has been watching your videos this week and loves them. For as big as the internet is, it sure can have that that "small world" feel sometimes. :)

This will be my first New Years since discovering my church and my first burning bowl ceremony. I'm looking forward to it.

Oh and BTW the new livefyre platform is pretty cool. Only problem I have with it is that it's not allowing the spellchecker in my browser (Firefox) to correct my spelling. At least it is still letting the browser let me know when I have a misspelled word but it's blocking the ability to right click and select the proper spelling. So I have to either take a few more jabs at the spelling myself or go somewhere else real quick (Word or another tab.) Like I had to do with "misspelled" just now. :)

I would be happy to visit these churches, but that's my problem I can not find any in Sweden! But maybe you can tell me what I can find such a church, not just for the ceremony but also something that I can visit often.
