The Biggest Game Changers
By Randy Gage in Critical Thinking, Success, Prosperity.
Hello from Cairo! I’m here to conduct an event, but want to continue the discussion we started in Prague, about how you can prepare for the most tumultuous, cataclysmic decade in human history. We’re exploring some of the themes I introduced in both Risky Is the New Safe and Mad Genius. Although there will be massive amounts of disruption in every profession and industry, I believe most of them will spin off from five key areas. These are the biggest “game changers” you’ll experience this decade.
Let’s look at what these areas are. So you can be ready for the new realities, have a great idea of what the future will hold, and most importantly – how to manifest prosperity with these new dynamics.
So what will be the five biggest game changers from 2016 to 2026?
You’ll find the list below, with a brief note about why I have included each. (BTW, I have updated my time estimate since I wrote Mad Genius, and believe the moment when Artificial Intelligence surpasses all acquired human knowledge will take place shortly after this decade completes. Otherwise, that event would be number one with a bullet on this list.)
You might think, “Oh these big-picture events won’t effect me because I’m not a tech company. I’m just a beauty salon, real estate agent, or network marketer.” But you’d be wrong. Very, very wrong. These game changers are so momentous, they will affect every business on earth. And some other planets as well.
1) Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality
The entertainment industry is one of the largest in the world. And it plays a huge role in most people’s day-to-day life. But VR and AR will also impact our lives in science, medicine, journalism, government and ways we haven’t even imagined yet. And the ripple effect from all of these sectors will be massive.
2) Cloning/Bio-genetic Engineering
Yes we will have human cloning, pre-ordered designer babies, and penis transplants. And this will create some of the most difficult and profound moral and ethical dilemmas humankind has ever faced. The impacts on national defense, mental health, physical health, longevity, insurance, retirement and employment – just to name a few – are simply mind-boggling.
3) Social Media
Social media changes the game in marketing in ways we are only beginning to fathom. And the addition of streaming video options ups the game considerably. Social media eviscerates everything you thought you knew about branding. And it’s changing relationships, politics, journalism, policing, governance and communication in earth-shattering ways.
4) 3D Printing
We’re already printing composite weapons that can get through airport security and human body parts. What else do you need to know? 3D printing will change manufacturing more than anything since the industrial revolution.
5) Mobile Apps
We’re fast approaching the point where there will be five billion smart phones on the planet. And mobile apps allow those phones to perform functions like gaming and entertainment, payment and ordering, communication and rating, connecting and collaborating, and literally millions more. Mobile apps have the potential to blow up the business plan of every company in the world.
So how do you prepare yourself and your business for the new realities you will face because of these five game changers?
By asking the right questions. Which is what we will explore next post…

@GesundheitsVerein I do talk about these in both books and they will definitely have an impact. They just didn't make my top five list. - RG
@Randy_Gage time to educate on the subject then ;-) As crypto currency beats #3, #4 and #5 altogether.
Penis transplants? That loud explosion you are hearing right now is not from a disgruntled, crazy Muslim but all of the champagne corks going off by white guys (I mean, by other white guys, not me!). What? Oh, that, you see it was cold out and... No, really, it was cold out, dammit!)
