Be Strong

By Randy Gage in Success, Prosperity.

Yesterday, on Patriots Day, the Boston Marathon turned to tragedy.  An event that brings people from all over the world together, turned into a catastrophe.   At the time I’m writing this, we don’t know exactly what happened and who was responsible.  But it serves to underscore an important truth…

Sometimes you need courage just to live.

There are evil people in the world, natural disasters occur and accidents take place.  You never know when you will face rejection, a failure, or a bad medical diagnosis.

Bad things happen to good people all the time.  It’s all part of the nuances of life.  But you must stand strong and be brave.  No mater how difficult the situation seems, don’t give away your power.

So whether you were injured in the marathon yesterday, are fighting an addiction, facing the loss of a loved one, or struggling against all odds, be strong.  And know that somewhere, in some way, you will benefit and become stronger because you have faced adversity.

You may feel lonely and alone.  But know there are people who care about you and believe in you.  And I am one of them.

Thanks for the inspiring words Randy.  I work in Mass, 10 miles form Boston, and the way people came together in this tragedy is truly amazing.  Stories are pouring in today of the courage of many people, not just fire and police, but people who were there to enjoy a race and a beautiful day in Boston. They were running toward the blast, not away, to help those nearby who were injured and needed help.  99% of the people in this world are good, and they make up for the 1% who are not and who desire to create chaos like yesterday.  God Bless America

I so agree – it takes a lot of courage to live. Folk in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, North Korea – have a LOT more courage needed than us in the Western world.
I think our hearts are so closed – when we see a blast in India killing many, little is said…  Tho when 2/3 are killed in America, hearts burst.
There will always be war, until we can have as much compassion for an Afghan as we feel for an American.

Exactly what I needed to hear! Thank you!

Thanks for those kind words Randy. I was shocked and stunned to see the news unfold but as you say, we must stay strong no matter how hard it may seem, we must never give up. My son fought for his life 6 and a half years ago and against all odds he pulled through.
There are fighters and there are cowards and I guess that we saw them both yesterday. I wish all concerned heartfelt wishes and a speedy recovery and to those who did not make it Rest In Peace. To the cowards, I  hope that it is just a matter of time before you are caught and get what you deserve.

Courage is doing well. Thank you for your trust and faith in me. It’s good to be associated with people like you. You are very present and inspiring to me. A true asset. I love to remember our personal encounters, 2012 in Mannheim / Germany. Thank you very much. Best wishes from my HEART 🙂

  12. Knowing that there are people who care about me and believe in me doesn’t help me more. Anyway I  feel lonely and alone.

Adversity does has its price. And the result is usually good as long as you persevere and not quit. I know you don’t know me Randy but you’ve been helping me all this time through this site. Thank you so much. 🙂

Marita Liepina I have been in a war and felt alone most of the time. More than alone, rather distant like I didn’t belong there, thinking, what am I doing here?
When the war was over I had to find purpose and success. A purpose to focus my efforts, and the ability to succeed in the goal I had chosen. Both concepts alien to me.
At first I chose big unachievable goals in order to prove how stupid I was. A sabotage from my subconscious.   However I learned that choosing small easy targets and getting good at them was the way to build confidence.  I soon became addicted to success and I can now face challenges that would scare off someone half my age. I can visualise the result before I even begin and it turns just like I see it in my mind. It takes practice, it chases away the loneliness and best of all other people will think you are really cool even if you are just yourself.

  17. 1MarcMarita LiepinaThank you Marc for encouragement. You’re right,hard-filled targets make sense of fulfillment. Controversial, but fulfillment in reality makes a sense of emptiness.
I think in my first  comment on another matter. I’ve never lived alone, never in my life. Always together with somebody else – with parents, husband, children. I do not know how it is when a kitchen or bathroom is not occupied.
And in the same time  I’ve always felt alone since I can remember myself.
Now  I’ve accepted that this is just it is.

  23. Chris Jones says:

^This is still a free society (until the Senate passes CISPA which the House just passed while everyone was busy about the Boston tragedy). So don’t tell ANYONE ‘Keep it to yourself’. Jimmy Imd can say or write anything he bloody well wants to.
