OK all of you info marketers, speakers, and consultants. How long have I been hocking you to start a blog? No more excuses; it's time to do it.
I just ran some website analytics and my website is in the top one-half percent of all Internet sites in the world. More importantly though, a lot of the people that come across my site end up buying stuff.
Two facts that are very relevant to you...
You can have the best content in the world: If people don't know about your site, it doesn't matter.
And two, traffic means nothing if you don't monetize it. At the end of the day, no matter how many visitors you have, you still need money to feed the cat. Or pay your crack dealer. Or both.
A Blog can help you in both areas. (No I don't mean the cat and the drug dealer. I mean in getting traffic and monetizing it.)
My blog is the number one thing that drives traffic to my site. And when people read it, it starts to develop the relationship between them and I. They start to see what I am about, then they check out other things on the site. And often buy.
Blogs build community, keep you in touch with your fans, drive traffic, build credibility, and about ten other things I could name.
